gpu not folding

Hello,

I am running folding@home on my macbook pro( I know its going to kill my laptop and i shouldn't bla bla bla)

The client detects my gpu but all it says it ready and it never folds.

Yeah, you're not getting the download sent to you correctly.

 

Reinstalling the program should fix it.

Don't reinstall, just quit out of the client and re-open it. Simply closing it isn't enough, you need to quit so it fully shuts the program down. Its a server side issue that doesn't like to assign work units to AMD GPUs. I need to restart at least 3 times a week because of it. Maybe Pande will get around to fixing it one day. Probably not.

Or... the 8800 is no longer supported, sorry. I would recommend you download and use the Chrome client. Less wear and tear on the laptop.
