I'm currently installing this CPU and mobo and for some reason the retention arm on the motherboard is requiring a lot of force, am I doing something wrong? The cpu is definitely in the right way.

they do take quite a bit of force. I own a nearly identical motherboard,(only difference is HDMI) and mine was the same way.

Just force it down and the CPU cap should pop off, don't worry

Depending what is low amount of force i can lift like 100kg and have strong fingers so putting retention arm isn't much force required from me but maybe cpu ia wrong way or maybe u did something

they do take quite a bit of force. I own a nearly identical motherboard,(only difference is HDMI) and mine was the same way.

sometimes this happens. give it another shot. just make sure your cpu is in the correct way and it should be fine.

Sorry guys this was a panic post, after seeing the first reply saying to just push it down I kept going and it worked fine.

Thanks for the help
