I need help solving a problem

I considering buying a pair of studio monitor for my room I've looked at a pair of KRK RP6 RoKit in a bundle with a Nano Patch

I​ have two​ questions can i just run a Y TRS cable from the nano patch to a computer or phone or do I need an amplifier

and are these speakers any good for gaming and movies etc.​

those are flat response monitors low bass response and flat treble and mid,, they give a good sound for studio mixes , but will not color sound like most people are used to from gaming headsets or consumer grade speakers. depending if you get the passive or active models , you will need an amp for the passives as the tiny amp that drives PC audio is not enough to drive the KRK Rokits

Krk speakers are actually not very flat. They are pretty colored and warm, as far as monitors go.

They are powered, no amp needed
