Okay so running a 4330 in my current system and I am planning to upgrade I have about £200 which is enough to get a 4790k from a local store new and was wondering if this is worth upgrading or should I wait to upgrade to a new motherboard and get a skyline CPU bearing in mind it's £100 more expensive for the equivalent CPU plus the cost of a new motherboard. Also I really like my current motherboard. Is it worth it to buy the 4790k and my board does support overclocking.

Just get the 4970K 4790K, there's no point in you paying that much to get all the new hardware.

4790k is enough. Even a 4690k is enough for gaming. The 4790k will beat the i5 6600k and very close performance to the i7 6700k. I would get the 4790k instead of the Skylake cpus. 100 quits (idk how to spell it) doesn't justify the little performance gain.
