Any french people here ? Do you have any french recipe site ? i want to see original french recipes not some recipes from American site that claim that is an original recipe. I am searching for original French onion soup

If you've seen the movie Queen (Which if you haven't I highly recommend you do) there’s a scene which describes the irony behind this dish perfectly.
Rani (the protagonist) makes this “French Toast” for her European roommates. When one of her roommates asks her what it is she tells him it’s french toast,
to which he responds “I am from France, it is not French toast.”
Rani: We get this only in India. (You get this French toast, only in India)”

this guy's pizza odyssey was pretty good but for this onion soup.... I like Alton Brown's recipe a bit better.

Edit: this was his first season... before he really got good at making shows. and its a bit boring to watch but his later episodes are awesome.

oh yeah I've done the Alton Brown method including electric skillet for the last 3 years. its superstition but I believe it has kept me cold free through the winter months for 3 years running *knock on wood*

 

also I prefer Alton's teaching method. explaining the traditional way and showing the scientifically enhanced way.
