PC to TV Question

I have my hdmi plugged into my montior (connected via my GPU to montior)

 

And a VGA from my motherboard to my TV

 

Is there a way I can switch my display to the TV and then back to the Monitor whenever I like?

 

right now my TV shows nothing,

depending on the board, wrong actually.

 

some boards *require* you have a monitor in the GPU, and one in the iGPU to be able to use quick sync recording.

That may or may not be true. I believe you can use both, at least for computing; I'm not certain on if you can use the iGPU as a display output then however. 

You will have to enable the iGPU in the BIOS, which often gets turned off when plugging in an external GPU.
