Hi guys, I'm not sure where else to go but I got an a new Lenovo Y50 gaming laptop. I need some help or someone that could shine some light on options. I've tried contacting Lenovo but couldn't get through. I have nothing against their agents but sometimes I cannot get through. Also tried their forums but no luck there on any replys.

Okay so I got this nice laptop about a 2 or 3 weeks ago and the screen flickering issue was not present until at least a week ago. I tired some possible fixes but no luck. My belief would be that it's driver related. Because it seems like my screen is trying to reset itself. It's almost a split/second flash on the display with a line sometimes it looked. This will happen every now and then. So it's something I could possibly put up with. When I reverted my display to the Microsoft Display Adapter to reinstall drivers the flicker seems to have disappeared. Also when I play games this issue is not present. I do not wish to send it in for warranty fulfillment because I need this computer for school. Lastly my bezel seems to be pushing on the display causing a yellowish contrasted tint on the bottom left corner. Any reason why this is happening? Sorry for this being so long.

Specs of the Y50 case needed:

OS: Windows 10 (Was Windows 8.1)

RAM: 16GB

CPU: Intel i7-4720HQ

GPU: Nvidia GTX 960M 4GB

Intergrated GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600

Display: 15.6" IPS FHD Anti-Glare

Sounds like a driver issue to me.  I'd personally just do a clean install of Windows and call it a day.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I had a similar issue on my Alienware Laptop. It was entirely a driver issue for me. To fix it, I booted into safe mode, downloaded "Display Driver Uninstaller" and uninstalled all the display drivers (Integrated and Discrete). I rebooted as necessary, and then I reinstalled the display drivers. That ended up working for me. Let me know if you need anything else! :)

Same with my IdeaPad P580. Had to get into Safemode to disable the Nvidia card and uninstall the intel graphics drivers just to get past the lock screen.
