Good DAC\Amp combo?

I'm looking for a DAC\amp combo in the 100-200 dollar range that is good.

Get a Schiit Magni 2 and a Schiit Modi 2.  They are both 119$  One's a DAC and the other is an AMP

Tubes are decidedly not higher end.

Then why are they so much more expensive *thank you for being much kinder and explanatory*

Are they? Plenty of solid state out there over $1k.

Well, more money does not equal better product.

They are expensive because: people will pay for them, are hand-built by someone not being paid minimum wage, and consist of needlessly complex designs. They are 100% luxury items.

Are they nicer than cheaper products? Yes.

Does a good, expensive tube amp perform better than a good, cheaper solid state amp? No.

DACs make an even smaller difference.

But it synergizes better, doesn't it. SET OTL best for high impedance 'phones, breh, need that voltage swing for 1.4kOhm peak, 60Vpp, you dig?

Oh yeah. I prefer zero feedback balanced designs personally. Brings me closer to a natural analog sound.

And to orgasm.
