My GPU hit 78 degrees Celsius today while playing The Forest on max settings.

 

Is this okay and would I benefit from getting a custom liquid cooling loop?

It's safe buddy, R9 290 max temperature is 95C on stock cooler.

LOL R9 290 AT ONLY 78 DEGREES? YOU'RE LUCKY. Mine idles at bloody 80.

thats a completely safe temperature, no need for watercooling whatsoever.

You don't have to worry about it.
