Internet randomly stops working

Hey guys, my modem has been acting weird these past few days. It randomly stops working and my desktop loses its internet connection, my router loses its wifi signal and I can't go online at all... then I turn off the router, turn it on again and it starts working, only to stop again after some time. How can I fix this weird problem?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

which is you ISP? maybe it's not your modem's problem! i too had the same problem! but it got resolved in a week(the line connection was loose)

 

did you try your connection? remove it and install it again!

What router is that? Sounds very much like the traditional D-Link issues that have been around for at least a decade.

Is the modem one of those Motorola fish fin things? If so they overheat kinda easy.
