R9 380 vs GTX 970

Hello guys , I know this is kind of a stupid question as the price difference between those 2 is about 100 euros here, and I know that the GTX 970 crushes the R9 380 in every test , but my question is : Will DX 12 give the R9 380 a good enough boost to beat the 970 ? Or will the power of the 970 still make it pull ahead ? (I am sorry for such a stupid question, because I know no one can see in the future )

But there is no information, because it's too early. The last line in your question implies that you were aware of the fact that no one knew ("I know no one can see the future") so why did you ask?

380 beat a 970..... not a chance in hell, not even with dx12.

 

people are taking this dx12 too far, just too far.

No idea but right now the GTX 970 is the better card but the 380 has faster 4GB!

No problem , I understand , too bad there aren't many DX 12 benchmarks out there . But is it true that many of the DX 12 developers will be working with AMD ?

Not sure about that, but I believe that current-gen NVIDIA cards will not 100% support DX12, whilst AMD cards will (don't quote me though...)

Neither do really - but GCN supports the features that give the fps whereas Maxwell supports the fancy hair features or something of the sorts. What was it? DX12 feature level 1? no idea. But for the raw performance GCN will come out on top. No idea by how much though.

Honestly - give me Tress FX 2.0 - if it's like Tress FX 1.0 - it will work on both, won't tank like Hairbreaks and look better than Gamebreaks.

Is what you two said applicable in the case of the 980ti as well ? And if it is , doesn't that mean that the Fury X will be able to defeat it with DX 12 (If the rumors are true )
