I think you'll want to install your official mobo drivers. Download all the latest versions of your drivers to a folder before formatting, and save them on another drive, a disc, usb drive... or upload them somewhere - though you'll need chipset and ethernet drivers installed on your fresh Win 10 installation before accessing internet.

to clean install 10

upgrade to 10 from 7 or 8..windows 10 will auto activate....

once it does

you can boot from a usb stick with windows 10 on it and do the clean install...skip any times it asks to put in a key....one you are back in windows..and you have internet it will auto activate

as for drivers...yes you have to get all them...and make sure you get the newest

Once you've used the free upgrade offer for Windows 10, upgrading from either Windows 7 or Windows 8, your PC hardware's signature will be registered in Microsoft's servers as being authorized with Windows 10. Then you can format your PC, and perform a clean installation of Windows 10, and it will activate itself automatically once it contacts Microsoft's servers, and Microsoft's servers confirm your PC's hardware as being authorized for Windows 10.
