GTX 980

so im lookin to get a GTX 980 for my pc build. i am going to be having 3 1080p 144hz 24" monitors.

there is about  100$ difference in price. is the performance of the GTX 980 sc blower better?

Why not 390X its more for the money but is a bit weaker also why not buy two?

is there anything i can get to run in sli or cross fire that would be able to support 5760x1080 144Hz? between 600-750$? maybe two 390x's? two 290x's? or two GTX 970's?

I dunno you should look up benchmarks for it?

so the monitors im going to be getting have hdmi and displayport. if i went with crossfire 390's there would be two hdmi and two displayport. would there be a problem with the third screen if i used a hdmi instead of a display port? if i got a displayport to hdmi cable/adapter would that be the same as  displayport?

I never tried more than 1 screen sadly but AMDs policy is all most be in same card so I would imagine it should work?

 

Nvidia on the other side of things lets you have in multiple GPUs in I do not remember wrong... (Linus made a video about it!)

Well probably but I would not try to set all settings to max in EVERY GAME! Most should be okay or decent some others like Crysis 3 probably at 30-45?

okay. ill go head and get a 980ti. if thats not enough ill get another one

+1 to this. 780ti sli with 3 60hz monitors will manage 50-60 fps 1080p. One gpu with 3 monitors wanting to get 144 fps? Not possible with a 980. You'll be lucky to sit on 30 fps not even maxed settings.

Won't get you 60 fps though. 780ti is equal to a 390x, 2 of those in sli allows 60 fps most with 3 screens. Maybe get 2 980ti or maybe even 3 if you want 144fps on a 144hz monitor

Then 2 390s should.. SHOULD be enough or a single 980Ti

If you're on a budget then i2367fh aoc is pretty good. It's an ips monitor pretty good quality. I have one myself

and i can turn the refresh rate down on the monitors i get
