I'm doing a gpu loop and I'm wondering, what fan settings do I use on the loop??? I was just gonna get corsair SP series fans from the rads and just leave them at full or 75% could I use like afterburner to control the fans and if so what do I set it to???? I'm assuming gpu temp won't work sense the temp would be so low the fans wouldn't come on.

just test it out, but 75 seems a bit high for my taste

What do you mean? Afterburner controls the fans connected to the header on the physical card, not fans connected to the motherboard or fan controller. If you're buying SP120 high performance fans, you won't leave them on anything above 50% for long periods of time due to the noise they make. If you're cooling a single card what size rad are you using? the bigger the better, bigger = more fans, lower rpm, lower noise.

O okay, I don't mind the fan noise. Honestly for me I like having the noise cause it let's me know the cooling is actually working. If it's like totally silent I tend to worry the whole cooling system has shut itself off and I'm frying my parts

System would shutdown or throttle before this happened. But I can understand that.

Yeah I know I'm just a bit peranoid sense this is my first pc I've ever built and the most expensive thing I've ever owned. Honestly as stupid as this sounds it's my most prized possession. I'm feel proud that I actually built this thing and that while there are many like it and more powerful/cooler. This one is mine and is tuned to my liking and there's no other in the world exactly like it.

It isn't silly at all, it took me years to start overclocking and watercooling because it was my most prized possession too. You'll get more confidence soon enough.

I run my fans off a motherboard header, have them set to run at 600-1100 rpm that keep it quiet and the gpu under 60 degrees (my CPU is also on this loop and its runs between 40-55 degrees depending how cpu heavy the program is).

Case - NZXT H6 Flow : Mobo - ASRock X670E PG Lightning : PSU - Deepcool PX1000G : CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D w/Arctic Freezer III 360  : Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32gb 6000mhz CL30 : GPU - MSI Expert 4080 Super : Storage - Verbatim Vi7000G 4tb NVME SSD  : Displays - Gigabyte 32" M32QC Curved 165hz & 27" M27Q Pro 165hz 1440p

Thanks dude, I know most people won't understand how you can feel so attached to an inanimate object. But honestly if someone stole my pc I'd be heartbroken. Yeah I could replace it with one with all the same stuff. But a lot of my parts are from the first pc I owned and they can't be replaced.

Think about modding etc, when its a one off rig hand built to suit you then it gets more attached haha. Just remember that parts have no feelings and it will get easier.

I run my fans off a Swiftech pwm fan splitter. I prefer 400rpm or less, so about 20-30 percent pwm.
