Power Supply orientation
Go to solution
Solved by STRMfrmXMN,
Well first the fan is an intake so you really want to avoid putting it face up if possible as you don't want the PSU fighting for airflow with the GPU. Second, the fan should only be face up if the PC is on carpet or if tee system is watercooled where it's not really necessary but is an option. So the case I bought is raised about 1 inch and a half, and it's also got an vent at the bottom and the holes to mount a PSU downwards. I installed my Rosewill Photon Power Supply facing down, so the fan blows out of the case right away, but I wanted to know the benefits or the downsides of doing this. I haven't had any issues so far, had my build since early July, about the 12th. I just want to know if I should change the orientation or if it's okay to keep it like that.
