is it true that i5 is enough for gaming or is i7 needed my friend said i7 is alot better ? should i5 be enough and then ill waste my money on a gpu keep in mind im going for skylake i5

I5 is technically the most you need for gaming. Use the money saved from the i5 for the GPU. What specs do you plan on having for the PC? Use pcpartpicker.com as it helps us out s lot.

The way I understand it, and this could be wrong, is the main difference between i5 and i7 is i7 has hyperthreading. Most games don't take advantage of hyperthreading/multiple cores. If all you're doing is gaming, i5 is all you really need. If you're doing media work, i7 is where it's at

Yes it will be able to stream. Just use the U.S. Version, any part in another country is probably in the U.S. Also you said something about a R9 380 ect ect

If your friend said that you will get a big performance boost by using an i7 in games, he is, well how do you say it? An idiot... If its some 3D editing machine or heavy multitasking then an i7 would benefit you, but games seem to prefer single core performance. So those extra threads arent going to do you any good...

i5 is certainly enough, i7 will be even better. IMO get the 4690k/6600k and put the extra $100 you would be spending on a 4790k/6700k towards a better GPU.

i5 is best option cause it is less likely to cause issues than a i3 but yes a i7 does help in games that uses 8 treads.

 

But lowest you can go I think is 860K or a i3...
