New PC build, suggestions, comments, etc. :)

So I decided to build a new PC since the one I'm using is getting a bit old. By old I mean not even a year old but insanely terrible. I have an oddly specific budget of about $850 (for things I haven't purchased), and I want the new Skylake i7. I will be using the hard drive from the PC I am currently using, and I found an old optical drive laying around which still works perfectly fine and has an LED on it. Another thing I will be recycling is the wifi adapter. I spent way more than I should have on this one, but the wifi kept dropping on the built in wifi, so I needed a new adapter. So far I have this:

I'm not a super hardcore gamer, so a 950 should be good, and if I need an upgrade, I can put another in for SLI.

Please use pcpartpicker.

You don't need the skylake i7 for gaming, an i5-6600K will do fine

SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze would have been a much better psu choice.

I would suggest saving a bit on the cpu cooler, getting something like Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler.

Go with a better motherboard like Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard. It has 4 fan headers and comes with an excellent utility for setting fan profiles. A discreet fan controller would not be necessary.

Get memory with better timings, Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory.

And get a better gpu like Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Thank you everybody for the suggestions, here are some things I would like to point out:

  • I don't know why, but I strongly prefer NVIDIA over AMD graphics cards, so I would like to stick with NVIDIA
  • I will be running servers for friends sometimes, so I would like to have the extra processing power with an i7 vs an i5
  • I do occasionally render videos, and the i7 would probably render faster
  • I know I can use software and certain motherboards to control fans, but I would prefer having a physical fan controller and the one I chose goes INSANELY well with the style of my case
  • I want to water cool the CPU, as I will be overclocking it
  • It appears that my case only supports 120mm or 280mm rads, but I will do a bit of research and see if I find anything

By the way, I did use pcpartpicker, but I didn't know you could click the text button and use it instead of copying and pasting.
