I got this monitor (and still do), it was worth it.... 2 years ago haha I'm using a PB278Q now and never looking back. I've compared the picture quality on IPS monitor to that, and it was a HORRID. though the s27950D has the best quality for TN panel, it's just not good enough compared to an IPS display

Intel 4770k : 4.6Ghz @1.285v | Asus Maximum VI Extreme | Asus GTX780 DCUii OC | Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 GB @2400mhz| Corsair AX1200i |

The only reason you got a new one was because it was 27" 1080P monitor?

dude the problem for me is availability. its very hard to find this monitor here where i live.it can only be imported for like US $1200 which is WAYYYYY more than my budget!

can u just confirm one thing that does S27a950d really look very grainy with 1080p on 27 inches? and does the 2d to 3d conversion work ok? how will u mark this conversion on scale of 1-10?

i will be obliged if u answer me

nah games don't look very grainy on the monitor, well depends how far are you sitting away from the monitor, but everything else does look kinda blown up to me

the 2d - 3d conversion somewhat works but after looking at it for a period of time i feel like puking. This is my own problem lol I don't know if anyone else will have this.

Good for gaming decent image quality. However, they has a serious defect with their panels causing horrific light bleed. I went through 3 different panels and they all had horrid back light bleed. Some in the corners, some in the middle.

It was great for gaming but not worth the price with the faulty panels.

If I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy it. At the time there wasn't really another option for a 27" 120hz monitor but now there is.

Here's about what you can expect the panel to look like

https://www.google.com/search?q=S27A950d+light+bleed&hl=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=9oQIUqDIGsafyQGR5IGoDw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=2560&bih=1315

All 3 of my monitors looked similar to this. Some worse, some slightly better.

Don't waste your money.
