That seems like some interesting ekvation. My tips would be to do it really slow in small steps if you haven't already.

Not particularly helpful when doing math and you need to see what a solution is and how it has been made.

1) Where did the minus sign on the e^x go from step 2 to step 3?

2) Factor it out. It will be easier on you in the long run. It easier to integrate e^y+2+1/(e^y) than it is to do it to a complex multiplication.

3) Go from there.
