Since you are not overclocking don't get that cooler.

Get a i5 4460, generally performs well for less.

Get a better GPU, like a r9 380 at least or even a r9 290 (if you get a r9 290 get a 600W-650W GS or G2, for the r9 380 the 550W GS is enough).

Ugh, mobile snipping is impossible....

Anyways, if you can swap out your PSU for an Antec High Current Gamer or EVGA B2 then you could put more money into a GPU, especially if you swap your i5 for a 4460 where you'll see no tangible performance loss. You should also just stick to the stock cooler as on i5s they keep them cool and quiet.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The intel cooler isn't amazing, but it's enough for stock speeds.

Switch out the i5 you have now for an i5 K series otherwise it's stupid to buy an aftermarket cooler like that because you can't over clock the i5 that you picked out also get a GTX 960, you'll like a lot more than a 270x and I'm kind of a team red fanboy anyways.

Recently built a PC for a client with a 4460 and the stock cooler. It was inaudible under load and barely reached 60C. @ was there and can attend to that.

An aftermarket cooler is a good idea but imho it's not needed unless it's a K series i5 because I'm not sure if there's a point to an aftermarket cooler if you aren't overclocking

Yeah I was surprised by how good that stock worked on the i5 4460. Man was it quiet!

Also ditch the zalman cooler and get a coolermaster 212 Evo or if you have some extra money get a hyper 612

Yeah intel is sort of known for good stock coolers but they want to be douche bags and they're not including them with their SkyLake CPU's >.< and the CPU's are the same price as before like wtf intel!

This is a budget/entry level build DO NOT get an SSD it has very limited storage so you're gonna want the default plain vanilla WD Caviar Blue 1TB as far as the PSU you are gonna want something more, maybe 650W or the default 750w and that will leave you with some nice overvolting/overclocking head room. Also get a GTX 960 not a 270x. If you have a little more money to spend I suggest getting a cheaper, smaller SSD from SanDisk because they usually have the best prices and put your OS and some apps that you need to have quick boot times on, on to the SSD. All your other files like school essays, pictures, videos, music, porn etc. Should all be on your Hard Drive and for the love of god get a K series i5 because you're gonna want to overclock it trust meh!!

Thanks for all of your proffesional help. I will really look up to your guides.

1 I do use part picker. Just didnt knew how to post it properly.
2 I konw those parts you reccomned are better i read about them but my country dosent have them on sale.
3 i get this SSD for free dunno it might be a good deal :D

And by the way i kinda need to know what to pick instead of my chosen power supply i just found out right now that they are sold and wont come back any time soon.

They don't include them with Skylake K CPUs. Normal iXs will have stock coolers. moving the K parts closer to xX9 platform, where you don't have coolers too.

1. the [bb] button generates a code that this forum uses. Everybody is using it. You just have to create a part list.

2. Where do you live?

3. Free stuff is ALWAYS worth the money. Samsung SSDs are generally good.

All right then. I have no idea about retailers in your country, so I will just post some thoughts on picking stuff.

CPU:

You have the budget to go with Intel. Good for you. X99 is a waste of money. so i5 or i7 it is. OCed i5 is more expensive than cheapest i7s (counting for Z board too). so Either a locked i5 or an i7 of some sort. since you won't but getting a 390 anyway, the i7K is a bad value idea (or gaming and GPU accelerated uses). i7s can be bought cheaper as Xeons (I think they are 123x V3 for haswell i7 versions) without iGPU. So i5 or Xeon i7. I will let this one for you, but I would go for the i5 and get a better GPU. for the i5, get whatever is the cheapest Haswell one. (most likely 4460)

Cooler:

Unless you have a K series CPU and overclocking, use stock. Mine is fine and quiet.

Motherboard:

Unless you are going for SLI, H97 should be all you need. Front USB 3 is a must. No company has any real advantage here, only ASUS has a nice BIOS and AsRock's is poor. Just get whatever has features you want. Haswell has FIVR, so a worse power delivery on the MoBO won't be a problem.

RAM:

Go for dual channel. 2x4GB or 2x8GB is the best way to go these days. I would stick with 2x4GB for now, as you still have 2 slots empty. Sort by price. Get the cheapest one with heatspreader, if it is from a higher quality brand. (Gskill, Kingston, Adata, Corsair, Mushkin)

Storage:

120GB SSD + 1TB HDD is the sweet spot right now. You already have the SSD. WD and HGST drives are higher quality. Again, WD blue/green. No need to overspend.

PSU:

Not a good place to save money. A good way to sort PSUs is by filtering them by 80+ rating. Silver, gold and higher should not be bad, if they are from a good vendor. 500w is a good mark, for 390 and higher get 600w. SLI/CFX setups want 850w+ but we wont be getting into this.

GPU:

The most expensive you got money left for. I mean it. With regards to DX12 performance. getting an AMD card is a good idea. 950, 380, 390, 390x, 2x 390, 2x 390x, 2x 980ti. In this order from cheapest to most expensive. If you get a good deal on nVidia cards, the might be worth it. Most times, they are not.

I hope this helped you.
