So a buddy of mine who isn't quite tech savvy asked me to build him a computer that could run Skyrim at 60 FPS and Witcher at atleast a decent frame so i was tinkering online and built this

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/WcgMt6

he gave me a budget of 3000 but i don't want to have him spend more then he has to on parts any way to maybe lower the price but not lose alot in power?

Can we take it he won't be overclocking, if that's the case maybe get a locked processor with a h97 motherboard.

I say give him Skylake, and at least a 970/390. and something a better than a CX PSU like an EVGA G2

He's given you the budget, may as well use it. or a bit more of it at least.

Lol wat, you went for a 960, 4770K, and an Intel 520 series SSD?..

Get a 4790K if you're going for an i7 hut the 4690K should be just fine, or you can get skylake. The 960 won't run Skyrim/Witcher at 60fps high settings, replace it with an R9 390 or GTX 970. Also, get a EVGA G2 PSU and a good monitor.

Idk if he'll be needing 980 ti's in dual SLI. Maybe just one with a super strong monitor?

I'm looking to make some money off building him this Comp not just waste it all on the computer. The budget is for shipping and Building costs. and he doesnt need over clocked parts.

wait... he's given you $3000 to build a PC and you keep what you don't spend? and you want to give him something worth around half as much to maximize your profits? That's dark man.

No.. he keeps what i dont take as fees which would most likely be around 250 300 and out of that 300 about 70 will be for packaging and shipping.. i just don't want him spending more then he has to on the computer.
