Motherboard choice

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

all motherboards perform the same....

what matters is the CPU and GPU

motherboards just have different features and additions

look at the specs list and decide which motherboard has the stuff you want

I'm having a tough time deciding whether I should go for a ASUS Rampage extreme or X99 deluxe motherboard. I don't really care about price, I just want to know which motherboard performs better for gaming purposes. Also, if other motherboards perform better I would really love some recommendations.

Watch out behind you!

No motherboard will realistically give a difference in gaming performance - that should not be your deciding factor. They are both technically equivalent as far as PCIe and LGA2011-v3 is concerned.

Rampage V if you want a red colour scheme, on board WiFi, and the great Supreme FX onboard Audio

ASUS Deluxe if you willing to go White and Blue with all of the above features except the sound solution being a pretty decent Crystal Audio

MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2012 w/Core i5 3210M and glorious HD 4000 Graphics
