Battle Axe vs Sword

so say you were about to go into to battle what would you bring with you to fight a Battle Axe or Sword, i for one would bring a Battle AXe

I'm partial to swords. Maybe a medieval arming sword and a shield

I have to go with a sword, faster, less baulky and more opportunity to kill with. And I'm strong enough to use a battleaxe so yeah.

A katana (Sword)

 

I would like something lightweight.

 

 

That's EASY. Sword has agility. Axe has power.

 

Sword wins, hands down.

but wouldn't a battle axe have good speed and is light depending on what type, i was thinking of a one handed axe

Doesn't have the reach, and still won't have as much agility as a sword.

 

Also....battle axes just look gay compared to a decent looking sword.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Lol if we think realistically here, most of us probably won't be able to use a battle axe effectively. We aren't Spartans. Hell even a sword could be hard for most people depending on the type.

iirc spartans used swords not battle axes

but the vikings didn't look gay and were a dominant tribe/nation and they used battle axes
