Wow, if I could get my hands on a Galax HOF...

sexy as fuck and only $979...

How do Reavers clean their spears?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

The EVGA Kingpin is a complete waste of Money for "normal" enthusiast Gamers. If you dont do LN2 Benchmarking, ignore this Card!

The 4 best 980Ti´s atm are:

Zotac amp!extreme

MSI Lightning

Gigabyte G1

Asus Strix

How can you not recommended the Kingpin but you can recommended the Lightning, they are aimed for the same market, also will people stop recommededing the Strix, it is one of the worst GPU coolers as it is hot and loud

I would recommend

MSI Lightning

EVGA Kingpin

EVGA Classified

Gigabyte G1

MSI Gaming G6

The Lightning is not coming out till the start of October though

If you understand German this article says it all:

http://www.computerbase.de/2015-08/partnerkarten-geforce-gtx-980-ti-test/

TLDR:

Zotac extreme amp: is a super fast beast but needs 3 slots and very long

Asus strix direct CU3: beasts but runs hotter than the zotac but in return only 2 slots and a bit smaller

MSI 6G: won't overclock as the 2 above because of weakish cooler compared to other products... BUT IT HAS A FRIGGIN DRAGON ON THE LOGO (# WURTH)

Gigabyte g1: Just like the Asus Strix but Cooler and noizier also some cards have issues with coil whine and bad ports (it's GPU lottery here)

PALIT Jetstream: 2.5 slots extremely silent though not as fast as zotac/asus (NOT AVAILABLE IN THE US because communism)

EVGA: loads of choice here all are quite fast and quite silent. The allrounder Brand. Some models are faster than others but not as fast as Zotac extreme amp

Inno3D iCHILL x3 airboss: like the PALIT but a bit louder and less cool

Nvidia 980ti: Y U EVEN READING DIS????

Because the Kingpin is an absolut dissapointment. Even OCed its not at the top, only the prices are ridiculous high. I see GraphicsCard from the view of Gamers. Not extreme Overclockers who use LN2. Stop get blindfolded by this Brand Nonsense. And the Strix is cooler and quieter as the G6 you recommend.

I opted for an msi gaming 6. It overclocks well and it is cheap. If you feel that 1-2 fps tops is going to ruin your life, you need a new life. Heck from what I've seen it appears to be one of the most consistent boards out there. I would not go for a kingpin or lightning as that would be a waste for me and I would be paying a premium for nothing...

Bottom line is, pick whichever you fancy don't think about the rest. You literally canot make a wrong choice when it comes to the 980 ti.

Main rig: Shockwave - MSI Z170 Gaming 7 MOBO, i7-6700k, 16GB DDR4 3000 MHz RAM, KFA2 GTX 980ti HOF, Corsair RM1000 PSU, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, WD 7200RPM 3TB, Corsair Air 540 White, ASUS P278Q 1440p 144Hz display.

Laptop: Lenovo Y510p, i7-4700HQ, 12 GB (8+4) 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, GT755 2GB SLI graphis card, 1366x768 display.

Every card has different strenghs and weaknesses. There are speed, noize, looks and temps. All cards offer a similar set of performance as they have the same processor but that doesnt make the

If you plan to go with sli in a year or two a thinner card is recommended!

then you need to know what you want :

speed, silent, cool, thin or looks

it's just like choosing your Girl... except you pay money instead of your life
