Why is the i3 4160 the best i3 CPU?

20 dollars for .2GHz more

yeah no. 4170 is the best price/performance. if you get a 4370 you might as well get a 4440  

He didnt say anything about price/performance, he said which is the best i3 CPU.

I personally don't know. The 4170 seems to be the same price. Could be a winner. 

 

Why do you like the 4460?

The 4170 is better, what does the 4460 have to do with this? :P

Because I am undecided on how to go. I need it for multitasking, video play at 4k for multiple 4k monitors. I can swing $50 from a i3 4160/70 to a i5 4460 but not from a 4460 to a 4690k.

Well, the 4460 is a huge step up from the 4170.
