I have this nice laptop, and for a while, I had dual booted Windows 8.1, and Fedora Linux for a little while. All the sudden, every time I logged in, I would get a "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" BSOD. Can anyone help me? (ASAP because this is not a trivial computer and frankly, I can't use that shiny Nivida graphics in Fedora linux. If you need any files for diagnostics)

Download BlueScreenView. It'll show what exactly is causing it.

I had blue-screening earlier, too. It may be clashing or out-dated drivers.

That error covers a somewhat broad range of issues but i feel, in your case, it has to do with the corruption of the boot file. Sometimes, starting up in safe mode and doing a proper shutdown can help you get back into window to do some maintenance(cleaning out the junk in the OS).

Just saying, I have already use blue screen view, gave me nothing useful, as a Google search, at least four months ago, got 0 results.

So have you updated drivers recently? Since then? Have you tried repairing windows using the installation disk if you can? Disabling anti-virus to see if it helps? Do you use backup tools? It's all listed in the link.

Follow the BSOD posting instructions pinned at the top of this subforum: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/354634-bsod-posting-instructions-please-read/

Use method B to retrieve the dump files without booting into Windows. Since you can't use the relative file path, they're located under "C:\Windows\Minidump\"
