Recently, the audio on my front panel audio jack is going a little haywire. It randomly reduces the volume (without physically lower the volume bar), as well as reducing the audio fidelity, cutting out almost all the lower end and making things sound really tinny and hollow. Trying to increase the volume does not have any effect. After a while like this, it'll go back to normal, but it's getting more and more frequent. It's extremely frustrating when I'm trying to listen to music or talk to people on Skype. Strangely, it only seems to impact the front panel audio, as my speakers seem to be fine. I've tried updating drivers and fiddling with other audio options (like balance), all to no avail. I have no idea what's wrong, and would really like a fix. My build is in my signature, in case knowing the parts helps anyone figure out a diagnosis.

I'm almost for certain it is the wire itself.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I thought it could have been that, so I double checked that the wire was attached properly. Maybe it could be the wire itself, but I'm not sure if I can really check that.

Yea, I'm almost for certain it is the wire.  Its exactly how a bad signal wire works.

More often than not, its the cable. I've had 3 interconnects for my headphone die on me. Everytime I think its my iphone audio jack I buy a new cable and its the goddamn cable/earpiece.

Try the speaker on your phone or something, that will narrow your options down.

I've tried different pairs of headphones on the jack. It's definitely not my headphones.

What can I do to fix this? Do you know if I can buy replacement wiring?

Most likely a cold solder on your wire. Sadly, not an easy replacement especially if its speakers with non detachable cables. Unless you find someone online to replace the cables it might be RIP for your speakers.
