USB Rechargeable batteries

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

look around your local supermarket or DIY store for stuff like this:

I need some batteries for my Xbox 360 wireless controller and came across these:

http://www.amazon.de/Moixa-USB-Cell-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B000LV8YKQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440876540&sr=8-1&keywords=usb+batteries

They are basicly normal batteries which you can charge via usb so i thought that would be handy. Does anybody use them here? Im concerned about the capacity of these

dont buy stuff like that, they're usually absolute shit.

get yourself some decent batteries with a wall adapter charger.

from what i can make of the german, they advertise "10-25% more capacity than NiCD" which makes me think they're that terrible they wont even list it as a real number.

There are others from different brands they advertise it as 1450mAh a piece. Though i have nothing to compare that against, so i don't know if it's good or bad.

That looks handy though i only need them for my controller and i'd be paying 36€ for just the charging station..

It's bad especially because they aren't LSD cells

"they advertise as" is very different from "they are"

the ibook guy did some testing on cells that claimed to be 3000mAh, they were ridonkulously bad.

my local DIY store sells a charger with 8 batteries for like... €20 or something along those lines.

also, most of the chargers you can buy seperately contain features you dont need, like displays.

Well they say it on amazon, i guess it has to be right. I have some rechargable batteries here which are 2100mAh batteries, i have no charger however...

an LED to indicating charging has finished.

...is not enough, because there's no way to see if the -∆U end of charge detection worked correctly, to bin batteries or see the batteries' health.

so... i've been plugging batteries into an LED only charger for years, and i still have all of them...

then again, may be shallow of me, because most people dont have this on their desktop either, and its rather important to me:
