Chrome Problems

My chrome decided to act weird since I went back to Windows 8.1 I couldn't open it.i kept on getting the class not registered error. I decided to uninstall the google chrome program. I then tried to reinstall chrome but it doesn't let me saying that there is already one running on the laptop when I deleted it. How do I get rid of this? I checked my chrome folder, which still exists and it has a chrome and an old chrome application

how did you uninstall the program? Go to control panel>programs and features and uninstall it from there. Make sure no chrome processes are running, use task manager for that. Then try to reinstall it.

I uninstalled it like that. Just the file on that page got removed. I somehow still have it and am using it

If you've used Windows 10 downgrade option, Please perform Clean Installation.

 

So many registry entries might have been corrupted or some sort.

You could just remove the folder and try it that way, but I suggest a clean install if at all possible. Still, if it works that may be enough for you.

Use Revo Uninstaller's traced programs feature to clean previous uninstallations(don't know if that's a proper word).
