Hello all, I have a 980 TI that I got off at friend for $450. STEAL right? the only thing is, its a reference. So it gets really hot. even when idling, with 3 fans pointed to it, and the EVGA backplate I installed on it, it hits 35-50 C. and under load it hits like 85 or so. and this is a big deal because i'm a content creator and I don't want my card to die earlier than it needs to. I know other 980 TI's can run a lot cooler, so... is there a way to like buy just the cooler from another manufacturer and just pop it on there? i mean, most just use the reference card layout, so it should fit right? and if so, where the heck can I get one?

should work if u get e.g. a evga acx cooler. It'll help the card a lot.

Try to go water, installation and support should be way better than mounting a air cooler.

dont those just cool the GPU, not the VRMs or anything? i dont really have room for anything bigger than a 140 rad.

Corsair's HG10 lets you install a blower fan from a reference card so you can cool the VRMs.
