Guy Wants to Build His First PC - $1500USD

This is true. If I'm building a rig this expensive. I would like soem Top of the line parts. But not so much it sets me back half the build's budget.

If a 980 works in your budget and doesn't set you back then go for it. If it does then a 970 would be good too and you can overclock it.

This is all very true. Being that this is my first time building, I didn't know what I needed. So I covered it all

What res are you playing at? What games do you think you'd be playing?

Currently 1080p, but I am looking into investing into A 2k monitor like Acer G257HU. Games are going to be like modded Skyrim, Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel, Fallout 4 and so on.

Mmk, how far off is that monitor purchase? You could dsr til you get it but its not as good as native 2k.

I'd go with this build imho

ew 212 evo.

I really hope were not telling this guy to get 980s and 980 tis just so he can play on 1080p

I didn't know he was gaming in 1080p  (Just read that he is upgrading to 1440p), anyhow what is wrong with the hyper 212 evo seems like a week regarded cooler. I may fit a be quiet rock pro 3 at this budget.

There are better for the same price. Its no longer as good. Since its so old other companies have had time to come out with better options for the same price or cheaper.

Do you have any good websites that do regular CPU coolers reviews? Getting tired of just recommending hyper 212 evos, I need some lead of some sort.

Hmm, all the results i've seen only compare the one cooler to the 212 and not all the coolers including the 212 against each other.

If you look them up you'll see they all perform better. Most of them are also quieter and have way better mounting.

Looked through both builds. I decided on the 2nd build you created. I swapped out the AMP! Video card for a Zotac GTX 980Ti "Blower" style card. So far this is the build.
