Hey guys! What do you think about this idea of having a live chat feature in the forum??(linustechtips.com/main)

we could chat with those who are online & no need to be friends to chat! we could chat and get instant replies! but for the moderators and administrators they should make an option that( if i want to chat with any moderator i should first  send him a request and then he should accept it and only then we could chat with them, otherwise everyone would rush and only chat with moderators and he would get 300-400 requests and then maybe he would suicide!)if you think about PM it's too darn late! if you send some one a message who is offline, you should first of all wait till he is online, then wait for him to read and then wait for him to reply!! live chat can get you more quick replies!

what do you guys think about it?  we can contact any of the moderators & talk about it!!

THANKS

YOURS SINCERELY

Go to "forum features and suggestions" thread.  :)

Also we have Razer comms, so i do not think that it is important to have same thin inside forum.

Hi,

This has already been suggested a couple times in the suggestion topic .

It has been denied, I believe the main reason was moderating issues, they are already busy enough as it is.

I would be like the witch chat, which is a moderating nightmare

Someone could always setup an unofficial IRC channel....

go to the LTT Communities and servers link in my signature.

You will find the (semi) unofficial IRC in there.

Shout/chat boxes are a good idea if the community was small, like the one I'm in (xuras), it never gets spammed so you don't have to moderate it or stuff like that. Problem is with these big communities, there is just so many of us, so I don't see how it could be not spammed.

As @looney said, it would be very difficult to moderate. And even if the mod team decided to leave it alone it would still be far too busy for anyone to keep hold of a conversation for long.

The next best thing we have is the various Razer Comms groups we have. :)
