Hey y'all, bought a new PC but thinking about changing some of the fans for quieter ones. Case fans are quite loud (NZXT stock) and so is the radiator from my H110. But, in this meanwhile, I'd like to create a fan controller. Will it potentially fry my mobo and the entire planet or is it safe to go? I'm thinking for something quite like this one

Thanks in advance

Do you have any floppy drive power connectors? Its not exactly a controller as much as it is a hub. Look in my signature. Also, I once found a temperature based controller that works great.

you can try software fan control if your motherboard supports it

That would be powered directly from the PSU and will work but if your plugging it via your motherboard you can control the fans either from your motherboard's BIOS or fan software.

I have a MSI Gaming 7 mobo, I'm not quite sure how to plug those, in which headers and what is safe to mess with to no damage the pump... Quite noobish, I know. hehe

I saw your guide once, but I wanted something to control those, so in a near future I can replace with some cool and quiet Noctuas.

Taking advantage of multiquotations should I replace case and/or radiator coolers with Noctuas to make them silent? I find my current build with stock from NZXT 410 and Corsair H110 too noisy when in mid, but I don't have the RPM values

For the pump you should plug it into the CPU header and leave it at full speed, for the fans and others using the headers on the motherboard and controlling them in the BIOS or via MSI Commander their fan control software would be best.
