Recommended gpu for my rig?

have the gtx 580 and it served me well for 4+years  playing all types of games. and now its time to change. what is my best bet for a long term investment. your recommendations plz.

what is the diff between the 390 and the 390x?

the 390 has 2560 shaders compared to 2816 on the 390x and it is clocked higher

bro what about the 290x? how is that?

Personally, I wouldn't... it's old now. Just go for an R9 390 seeing as it's a 290 with more vram and slightly faster.

yea slightly faster, the 390 consumes so much power and the price between the 290 and 390 is 130$ if im not wrong. 

Well, I don't know the price difference seeing as I'm not in your country. They eat up around the same amount of power. But I would rather go for the 390.

Well, in the UK the price difference between the two is around £75. No, I have not tried the R9 390, I don't have that card. Go look up reviews online or something.

Not enough vram.

And 980 is overpriced. If u want nvidia for long run the titan is the best(12gb)

Or more affordable 980ti (6gb).

More important what is your budget?

something between 400-450...tell me my best compatible option for my rig, cause i dont want crashes and what not..
