Diffrence betwwen SATA Cables

Is There a difference between SATA Cables ?

I see SATA 2 and SATA 3 cables which look identical but have different prices 
Is that just a marketing term as there are SATA 2 HDD and SATA 3 HDD to make more money ?

Some websites claim that it doesn't matter

While others say there is a difference

So Where is the truth ?

+1 this, there is no difference in the cables.  Buy the cheapest ones you can... there is no reason to spend extra.

Hey there John98ZaKaRia,

 

The only real-world difference between the three types of cables may be the latches at the end of the able that keep it tight and secure on the drive and the SATA port. There is no difference in speed at all and you are free to use any type of SATA cable.

Yes there is a difference actually, the 1 on amazon is 6" longer
