That's not a good upgrade go for a haswell i5 that would be kind of a downgrade.

Unless you plan to OC a decent bit you will see really little benefit from this as an upgrade.. Also what are you trying to achieve,,,,

If you really want a bit extra (check if your board supports this) but grab a cheapo i5-2500K on fleabay or the like and OC it to >4Ghz.

s

You should grab the cheapest i5 it will smack the wall in performance compared to any of the FX chips out right now. Don't believe me ? Look at these benchmarks

Using BF4 as a benchmark is really silly. That game runs great on basically any $500+ PC, it's really not some super CPU intensive game people make it out to be.
While in most games you won't really see a difference, in the games that do you will see a difference.
For example I own a FX-6300 and a 770, it can run most games fine but there are some games that I hope ran a lot better.
Guild Wars 2 I can't run a 1080p because I get bad framerates. Have to play a 1440x900 and in MMOs, you're going to want to get an Intel processor.
Arma 3 while I can run I wouldn't recommend getting due to the constant stutters, and frame rate drops.
And in general RTS tend to run better on Intel.

For gaming going with Intel is a safe bet, AMD not so much.

The A10 is a downgrade and the FX isn't much of an upgrade. Are you not satisfied with your current performance?
