i have decided to make a 3d animation desktop pc for my (soon to be hopefully) job. i wont be gaming to much on this computer it will mostly be for rendering and animating. i may do some light gaming but nothing too powerful.

here is my build http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/P8VtTW

right now i have one 980ti gpu installed in my computer but i may want to add a second for sli.

my problem that i am having is should i stick with a 750w powersupply which may be a bit overkill or should i go with a corsair hx100i 1000w in the hopes that i will upgrade way in the future.

What 750W power supply are you getting. And you don't need thermal paste it comes included with the H100i, and try to get a cheaper motherboard so you can afford a more spacey storage configuration.

Get an EVGA PSU G2 or P2.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

I hadnt really picked the 750w power supply yet.this will actually be my first computer build. I had thought of using those power supplies but i am still new to the desktop computer world so i dont know what good products are. I chose that motherboard for the blue highlights as i kind of wanted a "as blue as i could" build. I was thinking about getting light blue cablemod but they only come as single wires.

For that build 650W is a good amount of wattage with overclocking headroom. EVGAs G2 650W is a solid choice. If you plan to add another 980ti then up it to 850W.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
