Hi i would like to ask if its worth waiting for the skylake model of the cpus to get more mainstream before buying them becuse ill be needing to both upgrade motherboard and cpu of course but im curious if its worth it becuse i need an upgrade ive wrote everything down on an other thread on my profile about my parts and stuff but enough about that so yeah main question worth or not buying the skylake or wait for it until it goes down becuse i guessing it kinda new ?

Ha intel CPUs don't go down very well, so I'd rather buy now.

Ohh i see well i mean its not that expensive i just want a motherboard that will last long and wont get outdated as in new futures or somthing so i dont miss out :)

Motherboards don't get outdated, you will get more ports at best. Literally no performance difference.

Better then my specs lol. Assuming you wanna game on this? If you've already got 8gbs or more ram I'd stick with a 4690k and Z97 mobo. If you wanna get all new ram and spend a little more on a mobo get a i5-6600k but it'll be a little more expensive. If you don't wanna overclock get a Xeon 1231v3 and H97 mobo and use your current ram.

Your GPU should be good enough until you get more money for a better parts.

Is there any brand on the power supply? Model number? Efficiency rating? Or does it just look like a piece of metal?

This. Also you will need some new DDR4 ram as well.

You do not need ddr4. Skylake will be able to use both ddr3 and ddr4. At least it is speced to be able to do so. It depends on mobo

Haven't seen DDR3 z170 mobos yet. They might be coming at a latter time, but as of now there are none.

This is a fair point. Intel has it so that the z170 chip series can do both but Obvi the mobo manufacturer has to put them in.
