First-time builder, please be somewhat gentle. :)

Okay, I know I've asked a ton of questions, but as a first-time builder I really can't help myself. I've recently decided to become a bit more generous with my build and increase my budget to $1.8k USD. Although this is my last increase in budget considering my original budget($1.41k) was already a lot of money.

So, with my new $1.8k budget, what last-minute improvements can I make before I order the parts? Also, if anyone could help me better stick to my color scheme (blue/black), let me know. Lastly, I do not want to change my mouse, nor do I want to change to DDR3/Haswell.

P.S. I do not want to order my OS from any third-parties. Nor do I want to order any of my other parts through any unofficial sources(G2A, shady shops/websites, etc). Please respect these guidelines.

Thanks in advance, Zak.

Save yourself some money.

Get the OS from g2a or reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap , they're 1/5th the price, and legit copies.

I stay away from Seagate, there are cheaper options with better standing reliability, like Hitachi.
The Backblaze reports cannot be solely drawn on, but cannot be ignored either. they may be a worst case scenario, but why even risk it when there are obviously other cheaper options that perform magnitudes better in that worst case scenario.

Alright, that's your choice to spend more on the same product.

My suggestion on keeping back from seagate stands though, I've never had anything but problems with them, and so have many others.

I looked into it, but Microsoft has thought of that. It isn't possible to upgrade with the free upgrade via new copies. Only older copies of Windows get the free upgrade,

I didn't know about that

what about this

You download the free ISO of windows website

Stay with non-genuine copy for a few months

Then later buy the key after saving a 100 bucks
