i was looking for a new motherboard and i looked at gigabyte's one's and i saw a lot of motherboards using Killer E2200 lan thing and i did my search on google and i found out a lot of people didn't really like the E2200 and told that it's bad. and i want to really know ones and for all. 

 

 

It's bad ? really ?

My current motherboard, the MSI Z87 MPower MAX sports teh E2200 NIC, and I have had no issues with it.

 

I cannot speak if you like bandwidth prioritization or stuff like that (because I don't use it), but as a regular Ethernet NIC, it does its job just fine.

The Killer line is good, just you need to know how to configure it. I'll let you in on a secret most, if not all networking guys know, it is mainly the OS that holds back the NIC and not really the NIC itself.

I've got the same board and have no issues, but I only installed the drivers, not the whole suite and prioritisation stuff as first time round it crashed my home network.

Its fine. May not have a "suite of features" like the intel nics, but as far as an integrated ethernet adapter goes, it's perfectly fine. Unless you're doing crazy shit, you won't notice a difference.
