Windows 10 is still in a limited release candidate. There may likely be issues concerning the compatibility of the bios tables and the OS would be my guess. Do you have the most recent bios version installed?

If your BIOS version is out of date, then you could try updating it from gigabyte's website

Hi since i've upgraded to Windows 10 i have not been able to overclock my CPU Evert timre i try a bew setting or a savefile with a stable oc my OS crashes and refuse to work untill a revert the settings i have a g3258 and a gigabyte b85m-ds3h

This is a reported problem specific to the Pentium K. For some reason, it + Win 10 are not getting along. You either have to disable one of the cores (so you can OC the other), or run both at stock.

I think I`ve seen a fix somewhere, but I`m not so sure. At any rate, hop over the CPU section of the foruns, they'll be able to help you better.

My sister recently upgraded to Windows 10 and is also using a Pentium G3258 with a "MSI Z97 PC Mate" mainboard. She changed the overclocking settings in the bios and had absolutely no problem with it.

She overclocked it to 4200 mhz (cpu ratio and cache), memory xmp, at 1,25 vcore. I guess she could do it with less vcore and more mhz but she is not interested and in need of better performance.

My sister could overclock both cores at the same time. Just like before when she had Windows 8.
