HDMI issues to HDTV: R7 260X

I have no clue why but my computer freezes every time I plug it into my HDTV. Any idea why this keeps happening?

Every time I restarted my computer, it goes right back to the same frozen static image as if it had never completely shutdown.

After restarting many times and unplugging the power source this kept happening. I plugged it back into my monitor (DVI) it did not display any content, just black screen. So...I reset my BIOS and restarted it in which fixed the issue after many automatic Windows updates and restarts.

Current: CPU: Intel i3-4130   GPU: XFX R7 260X  2GB   RAM: 8GB   Future: CPU: Intel i5-4430   GPU: GTX 960

drivers?

It had updated drivers before the issue happend

Current: CPU: Intel i3-4130   GPU: XFX R7 260X  2GB   RAM: 8GB   Future: CPU: Intel i5-4430   GPU: GTX 960
