Half Life 2 ending?

so i just beat half life 2 for the first time.. am i missing something? i did not play the first one. the guy from the very first scene showed up in a vison right as gordan was about to die and he kept saying something about time..? the ending reminded me alot of the lost ending.

Well there are 2 more episodes to it, with the third one-which should solve the massive cliff hanger at the end of HL2E2- cancelled for some bizarre reason.

Go and play EP1 and EP2, and hope that your grandchildren can play EP3/HL3.

You should also play the original Half-Life and its expansions, Blue Shift and Opposing Force.
