Add my old cases fan?

Go to solution Solved by Senzelian,

Possible fan configurations for the Corsair 230T:

  • Front: 2x 120mm
  • Top: 2x 120mm or 2x 140mm
  • Back: 1x 120mm
  • Bottom: 1x 120mm or 1x 140mm
Afaik a 92mm fan doesn't fit, because there are no mounting holes for it. You could use the mesh tho.

Push or pull are terms that are used for radiators. So you either push or pull the air through a radiator.

What you probably meant was if you want to use the fan as an intake or outtake.

I wouldn't use that fan at all, because it's probably loud and doesn't even move a lot of air.

i dont think you can fit a 90 mm fan onto a 120 mm fan socket

you would probably have to drill some new holes, although look if it supports 90mm, a miracle might happen

You cannot drill holes in an already existing mesh. But it is possible to use the mesh as mounting wholes.

No Standard dimension

92mm is a standard. It is used still fairly often in smaller cases. I think the very popular Parvuum cases still use them.

So I just upgraded to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139026
I have an extra fan lying around from my last case; http://www.amazon.com/DS09225R12H-92mm-25mm-Hydraulic-Bearing/dp/B0099TT7KW

Would this fit my new case?

If yes, should I put it on the bottom, or on the top?

Push or pull?
