Anyone? I'm planning to buy Asus K401lb(core i5) with an dedicated graphic card of Gt940m. My question is how good is this graphic card? What games I can play with it? Any info about this will be good

I will appreciate your feedback

Thanks!!

Able to play most games at 720p.

Newer and more demanding ones will kinda struggle at 1080p. Eg. GTA V, Witcher 3. Those are playable at 720p though.

i5 4670k @ 4.2GHz (Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo); ASrock Z87 EXTREME4; 8GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3 RAM @ 2133MHz; Asus DirectCU GTX 560; Super Flower Golden King 550 Platinum PSU;1TB Seagate Barracuda;Corsair 200r case.

A gt class card will be generally for light gaming, and will be fine in stuff like cs, but heavier stuff like battlefield/ gta will need to be run at 900p med/ 1080p low

Edit: the X40 series has not gone up in performance in a long time, as it gets a little over 2000 in 3dmark 11, while the very old 650m gets more...

Oh it has. The 840M was on the level of the 750M. The 940M was just an overclocked 840M.

Yeah, even though my first gaming laptop was massive and bulky, I could do stuff like getting an overvolted vbios for the 675m and cranking that shit up to 800+mhz (stock was 620 I think) and It got like 4600 on 3dmark 11 (stock was 3500)

It was basically a fermi card/ rebranded 580m, so I dont think it had the +135 mhz restriction

Those were the days...

Is it really that weak?, to say I'm a light gamer I play Dota2, CS and planning to play Battle field and Assassins creed.. By the way the resolution of Asus K401 is at 1080p.

Ok then give me models that have greater graphics card than gt940m. Location Philippines, around $800,

the benchmarks are there clear as day, a 940m is very weak yes, able to play games at 720p medium at the most really (except for some indie or old titles)

I would look for a 950m or even better a 960m (or look for old models with the 800 series)

Opps sorry for disturbing ya✌️But I can't find a laptop with Gt950 or 960 here..

What are you trying to tell me about the 800 series?

Sometimes you can find older laptops with an 850m /860m for cheaper
