I'm just not sure if I replace the apple AP with the Ubiquiti AP that I'll be able to cover all of the potential blindspots with the remaining apple AP. But if the ubiquiti has alot better signal strength than the apple AP, then maybe it will be able to cover most of the blindspots on it's own.

Which generation AP are you using?

I'll add again that better access points aren't going to help with coverage much. The Ubiquity ones are nice and they have good features for management but they're not going to give you better coverage as single access points. I went from 54g to N150 to N300, N600 and AC1200 at the same location. The coverage never improved. Adding a second access point solved all of my issues.

I was wondoring if I should place an AP in the right side of the north room (where you see the small blackspot). And then on directly opposite to it in the south room? If I do that I'll get rid of all of the blackspots, but I'm a bit sceptical if it'll create new blackspots in the big room in the middle.

Ok, here's what I'd do, try to get as close to this as you can:

Even if you can't move the access points along those walls, near the network points will be close enough. Just try to move them as high as you can and as close to those positions I pointed out as you can, especially "A". Ideally even closer to the corners if possible. I wouldn't worry too much about the middle room, count the number of walls between you and the access point. You're pretty close to them.

Fools think they know everything, experts know they know nothing

Right, sorry about the lack of updates. Basicly I've got a completely new problem with my fiber connection now. Trying to resolve that part before I hook up any additional APs.

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?
