So I’m setting up a new network system in preparation for NBN which is rolling out in Australia and now I’m changing my whole setup to get ready for it. My question is with this setup in the picture, will there be any significant bandwidth loss by having all these ethernet cables plugged into everything or should I be fine with it. In my house, we will usually have around 4 people on the internet at once but we don’t really do anything too much that will drain anyone else connection besides playing online games occasionally. Also sorry for the crude drawing, did it really fast.

Note all the ethernet cables will be cat6 ethernet.
Airport will be used as main wifi signal and will disable modem's wifi.
Airport express will be used as wifi range extenders.
Really sorry if this is not clear.

Thanks and yea haha whoops did mean that. Thanks for the reply

just make sure to use "switches" everywhere and not "hubs"

for the off chance you'll find a gigabit hub, PLEASE use switches, they're practically the same price, and are SO much better.

Looks great, you will love the new setup and it can be a lot of fun installing!  Make sure you get good quality ethernet jacks for your wall plates.  Cheap ones will give you a lot of problems.

I recently did a similar upgrade where I bought a 16-port Gigabit switch (Netgear - very nice build quality with lifetime warranty, I would highly recommend it.  Think I paid about $100 CAD).  I ran 4 cables to 3 rooms and installed wall plates.  I also ran one up in the kitchen to the top of my kitchen cabinets.  I put the wifi AP on top of the kitchen cabinets which is the center of my house and I get great signal everywhere.  I was lucky to have easy access from the unfinished part of my basement.

^ - that is the switch I bought.  It does NOT have POE, so keep that in mind if you are thinking to use POE for your wifi APs.
