I shut my computer off the other day (not sleep/hibernate) and headed to bed, got back up to get my phone and hit a button on my mouse and it started back up. Checked for wake on USB and it's not on, any reason this would happen?

There's no power going to the mouse when the machine is off, so it is kinda weird to me.

Scout all bios settings, it's either that you've got wake on mouse r wake on keyboard on or you've got it in sleep mode.

Already checked, neither of those are on and it is for sure being told to shut down.

gone into device manager and turned it off there?

Turn what off?

find your mouse in device manager and turn of any settings that might wake your computer

There's nothing there for that.

Sure your power button is the power button and not the sleep button.

They can be switched in the power options.

I don't shut my pc off using the power button, that's a bad practice.

I always shut down through the start button.
