Is 4k worth it?

Been running a 1440p monitor for years. With the prices dropping on 4k IPS displays upgrading seems like a good option. Monitor will mainly be used for productivity work and moderate gaming. Trying to get opinions from anyone who was made the jump for 1440p to 4k.

Is 1440p not enough for what you do? Do you have the money to spend? Then yes. Otherwise no.

not worth it in my opinion. It will set your gaming experience if you are not running at least one 980.

If your working a lot with HD Videos it's nice to see them in full size while editing but with 1440p you kinda got that already.

I don't like how things are magnified in win 7/8/10 there are still a lot of problems with that.

Well, none of my 200-220 clients have 4k screens so... Yeah

 

Most of them use their computers for work so it's surprise me if you convinced yourself you needed it. Truth is you don't.

I think it's worth having but it's not worth paying for.
