I have a AMD 6100, Radeon HD6670, and 8 gigs of ram. My cpu temperature never goes over 32 degrees and system temp never goes over 30 degrees (both in Celsius). It seems however that when my cpu gets to 30 degrees it slows down significantly. All the drivers are updated, and running windows 7 64 bit. It only ever causes an issue when I'm running solid works flow simulation. It crashes solid works. I can also tell the difference when browsing the desktop. again only when the cpu temp hits 30. No overclocking and stock cooler. I know this is not that hot for this cpu. Any ideas?

Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)

i'd say make sure your BIOS is updated. That sounds crazy though, i mean my CPU idles at 35 Deg! I presume you mean an FX 6100 yes? Has it always done this?

how long have you had it? have you any other way of measuring temperature? Maybe there's a fault in the chip that makes it thinks it's hotter than it is, or that it actually is that hot but it'snot telling you. Are you using the stock cooler?

Yes im using a stock cooler, and the way I measured temperature is there is a readout on the front of my case. It is an NZXT Guardian 921. And a 600 watt psu.

AMD's sensors are bad usually, so CoreTemp may not be any better. Simply because of the sensors giving massive misreadings.

i'd try a few different measurement methods, that case temp might only be the ambient temp in a certain area of your case. Try RealTemp, SpeedFan, and use CPU-Z to see how much your CPU is speeding up. youmay need an aftermarket cooler!
